Bonfire night

It is late now, as we just finished up with a bonfire on the beach. It was a perfect day, and I even got a little sunburned. Today our group ended up splitting into three small groups to work on three different homes. Each of us did work from tiling a bathroom, drywall, painting and some siding/roofing. I personally mastered the nail gun and used 3 different kinds of saws (it's a pretty big deal). Tomorrow we should be working on the same home together, so that will be nice.

Returning from our projects today was really inspiring, because you could hear the excitement in everyone's voices. I spoke to one participant that isn't on my team, and he is working with Habitat on a home. He was just so pumped about the work we were doing and said he had a moment where he realized he's never had so much fun doing manual labor, and feeling great about what he was doing.
